Screaming Hand Toy

My hand’s reaction to pulling that much cash out of my wallet to buy a toy.

$150 will buy you one out of 500 Screaming Hand figures made world wide. They must have had some hardcore economists genius, or wizards if you will, figure out the intersection of supply, demand, and price to give the highest profit potential. I’d imagine they could sell a lot more than 500 if they priced it for mere mortals and not hipster lowbrow art speculators. Jim Phillips deserves to get paid for sure, but it would be nice to allow working class fans the chance to appreciate art as well. You can preorder yours now from Garage Works. Then again you can pay a mere $100 for one of these.

byw, have you heard that NHS slapped a cease and desist on Jim Phillips for stuff like this and the decks he’s doing for Pocket Pistols? I guess paying him close to nothing for artwork that has sold millions of decks and wheels for them means nothing to them. Very disappointing.

Really? that stinks, but what is your source? In this case he probably doesn’t have a leg to stand on (since it’s a hand heh, heh)

  3. agreed, I would have bought one but $150….come on. There’s a huge discussion regarding the NHS vs Phillips on the skullandbones forum with people from NHS and Pocket Pistols.

These should be at least twice the price?

  6. A vintage banner in mint condition… MAYBE… but a lil’ plastic “model”… $150? um, no!

Yo I just ordered one, I think it’s well priced as long as it doesn’t get reproduced. Might be better if Jim actually signed it, but still an ill piece.
