Aumsville Oregon session

Aumsville Oregon, revisited

This park rules. The locals and City Hall gave it a bad name for a while, and while the powers that be may still be predatory, it’s been a good session every time I’ve been there in the past year or two. Also, it’s never been crowded. Pics after the jump.

Horizontal shots can be enlarged.

This is Chad.

This guy has a name, Nate maybe? It doesn’t matter, because people call him Baker. Nollie on the hip.

Even though it looks like a smith, Steve Grover is a disaster.

I hate this hip. I love this hip. There are some people who can go huge on this hip. I hate it because I can never seem to make them look good here. Chad again.

  1. the grand canyon in aumsville?

  2. Jeez Rich, don’t drop the soap or shoot those low angle shots.

  3. Nice ollie over the gap. But, fuck, he wrecked’em.

  4. one of the best oregon parks ever to this day in my opinion, before there was a dreamland AND a grindline.. ive always wanted to go back and somehow its never on the way to the other 13 killer parks. fuck.

  5. That’s a rad photo of Grover. Over a year since the Pier Cleanup Day, and my son still remembers him.

In my boy’s three-year old world, Grover spends his time cleaning up parks.

Not too far from the truth…

  6. That sounds more like Conahan, actually. I think Steve has given up on the youth of today.

Have I mentioned how much I love this park?

  8. No, it was really Grover. I could tell because his skate shoes looked like dried-out cow tongues duct-taped to his feet.

Also, my son was a bit confused, given the Seasame Street similarity and Steve’s lack of blue fur.
