Good idea, but still clumsy. “We can dream, can’t we?” No we can’t, because there is no “we” that you are implying. i’m not buying it for a second, (now third) pun. Slightly larger after the jump. Put it on a plate son, you’ll enjoy it more. Just don’t put it in the microwave or dishwasher. This is a McDonalds “collectible” plate from 2006. I shouldn’t put collectable in quotes because I collected it. Got to give the artist credit for the stylish tuck knee frontside air and the apparent kickflip (heelflip?) on vert, even if Ronald is about to fly off the edge of the vert ramp. Nice bicycle helmet on Ronald. He is a clown though…

Monster truck version of a skateboard? You can buy that at Toys R Us, but Juicebox built a lowrider skateboard in the spirit of the dork session. Juiceboxforyou.com is actually a site focusing on car culture in Ireland, so go figure.

Taking a break from people reinventing the skateboard, here’s the umpteenth take on reinventing skyhooks, ollie bands, straps, etc… Krainkn was “invented” by Kevin Rains – get it? K-rain-kin! Guess what? You’ll never believe this, not in a million years. He’s on kickstarter. What’s actually hard to imagine is the fact that he has allegedly squeezed a patent or two out of this idea that dates back to the 70’s and has even been updated in the last 5 years or so. I’ll even go out on a limb and say it looks fun (shocker!) but come on man, you’re detracting from kickstarter programs that are actually interesting, like the Molecule Synth. – Thanks to Sarib for the tip. The backwards truck phenomenon happens all the time when marketers attempt to use skateboards without consulting an actual skateboarder. How did it apparently happen to Rob Dyrdek’s Street League Skateboarding, an organization dedicated to presenting “real” skateboarding? You know he must have been bummed the moment he realized it. The reflective nature of the trophy makes it hard to see definitively, but it sure looks like it’s backwards, Randals notwithstanding. Because we’re not all sour grapes here, there’s a bunch of well done photos of the latest Street League contest. Nyjah Huston is the champ, in case you wanted some actual results.
