The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars themed Powell tribute t-shirts. Darth Vader and Rippers available at Shirtoid. Mike McGill skull and snake available at Society6. Yes, young Powelladawan. Ouch. Sorry. That was weak.
– Thanks to Matthijs for the tip. He really should have his own blog by now, but hey, he makes my non-paying job easier, so thanks!
Bite me
An in store promo item for the Bart Simpsons Butterfinger campaign. Sure, it’s old, but Bart Simpson never goes out of style. It’s too bad that show went off the air… Wait? It’s still on? It’s too bad that show is still on the air. I actually haven’t watched it lately. It went through a phase when they clearly should have called it quits, and then it got good again, but I couldn’t get into it again. I’m more of a Bob’s Burgers guy these days. Get some.
I want to skate
No kidding? Me too. Arthur King made these alternative skateboards and Hugues Lawson-Body photographed them.

Buddy the RC Skate Dog
One thing you’ll notice about Buddy The Skate Dog is that he’s house trained. So house trained in fact, that he’s not leaving the box, because he costs about $50. After this little photo shoot he went back to the kennel.
Won’t someone please think of the CHILDREN!
I would like to apologize to the posts that appear above and below this one.
James Jarvis for MTV
Illustrator and vinyl toy designer James Jarvis made this station ID for MTV with Richard Kenworthy. It’s a cool animation and it’s not his fault that the network is flaming bag of dog poo. That would be a good station ID for MTV actually.

Honda Zoomer X
The Honda Zoomer-X is out there somewhere in Thailand. It’s got a space under the seat for a box that you can remove to carry longer items, like the suggested skateboard in this promo shot.

Spooner
Spooner boards. So, uh… these are plastic, I think. They come in a rainbow of colors and two sizes, freestyle and “pro.” Another learning aid. Spendy too. About the same cost as a real board, but I guess you won’t, you know, wear it out. Also available in a snowboard model with built in Krainkers. As Mark said, nobody made it easier for MC to learn how to skateboard.
Photo News
The cover of Photo News Canada, which should be subtitled “Your source for Canadian photoshopped photography.” Another Seismic sighting.
