Rockstar Energy Drink wis in town last week for a free contest at the riverfront in Portland. I’ve been to that before, it’s free, fun, and everyone rips. I didn’t make it this year, but GVK was going to apply for media credentials again. I’m not sure if he made it either. For some reason, (OK everyone knows the reason, marketing and money…) Rockstar (via Powell skater Christopher Heitt) went to a Portland Timbers match. You can watch the whole thing without snarky commentary on Instagram, but since you’re already here, just remember that Skate and Annoy is your premier site for MLS crossover action!
On the way to the stadium. Looks like Chris is Mario Brothers fan.

Entering the stadium. I’m pretty sure I couldn’t get into the stadium with a skateboard. I’ll ask my ticket rep. *

Does Christopher look like a (very) young Kevin Staab to you? PSA, you’re not allowed to bring outside drinks in, with the exception of factory sealed water bottles when there is a heat advisory in effect.

Looks like he made it on the pitch. That’s some VIP treatment.

Here’s Christopher hopefully returning something he’s autographed. The kid looks confused about the whole exchange.

And we close with the dutiful swig of Rockstar Energy Drink™.

Update: I did hear back from my ticket rep:
Thanks for checking with me. Skateboards are not permitted inside the stadium, as they are listed under prohibited items in our Guest Guide.
I appreciate you reaching out to ask. The post you saw was coordinated directly with the club to promote the event, which is why that item was allowed into the stadium for that specific purpose. For regular match attendance, skateboards are not permitted.
