Hoop daydreams

Check out this public art installation in Munich, Germany. It’s a regulation size basketball court with a mogul field surface and a light saber sticking out of center court. It’s from the firm Inges Idee it’s called 3D2. Looks like it would fun to roll around on.

    Nice! Equally impressive is the court’s surroundings,and absence of a fence.Creates a good approach for riding Inge’s hills.

      my guess is that it’s probably made of a medium-soft rubber composite, like the stuff they use on playgrounds sometimes

  3. Cool warping of the game. I’d like to see a basketball game on a court where the hoops moved around to different places on the perimeter and changed heights during the game. Or two games happening on intersecting perpendicular courts. Of course, I’m not a basketball player.
