This ‘n That – Andy Evans – 2007

This ‘n That from Andy Evans, circa 2007. This video focuses on the UK skateboarding scene, but has skaters from all over Europe and the US.

There are various skits thrown in which are hilarious at times and show some great creativity on behalf of Andy Evans. The skating is Top Notch, and well rounded too, with a good mix of all types of terrain and styles. Yes, that includes freestyle, which barely seems to exist here in the US. I have to thank Matt Sefton for showing me this video when we posted some Grabke updates earlier this year. While some people here in the US are bagging on each other for the terrain they choose to skate, in Europe they seem to embrace all kinds of skating. The key here is to have fun, it doesn’t matter what type of skating you are doing. Now watch the video and calm your ass down already.

Featured Skaters: Ben Raemers, Chris Vile, Josh Roullion, Rodney Clarke, Danny Wainwright, Simon Skipp, Darren Nolan, Pete King, Neil Smith, Mikey Wright, Chalba, Paul Rimmer, Amir Williams, Greg Nowik, Ross McGouran and James Gardner

This is one of the best skate vids I have seen in some time. I’d stoppped watching them but this restored my faith. Put together by some really nice guys. The skits are as funny as anything you’ll see and plenty of real skating. I can’t recommend this enough. PIGCITY

  2. Dude that is a f-ing awsome video. I absolutley love the Rocket Drop in.

  3. andy evans is a god

  4. What rob smith said. I just sat at my computer for 55 minutes watching an f’ing skate video and I don’t regret one second of it. The skating, filming, editing, music (Gary Numan!), and wit are absolutely top notch. Harpsichord recitals! I’m a Brit-vid convert, full stop.

  5. so good….loved it.

  6. Good write up. I reached the same conclusions before reading it. It’s refreshing to see a kind of all-for-one attitude instead of a better-than-you macho scene. Early on I thought the skits were more entertaining than the skating, but I still had fun watching it. I think it’s cause they are so isolated within Europe that they don’t bother to waste time hating different factions. Live and let live. Gwad, I sound like a god damned hippie. It’s all good, bro…

Of course, historically the UK (at least used used to) has lagged behind skating trends in the US, so maybe they’re all hating now.

Whatever happened to ‘as if’ by Andy Evans ? Could we please get a DVD release… Well worth it in my opinion. Maybe an extra on a future release šŸ˜‰
