New Irrigon photos
Northwest Skater has some new photos of the Irrigon, Oregon skatepark being built by Grindline. Brick coping, hobbit doorway, bumpy rock lip. Lots of unusual stuff going into this one.

I’m sure I wasn’t the only one wondering where the awkwardly named town of Irrigon, Oregon is located. Well, the little hamlet fortunate enough to be receiving this nice concrete addition is about 182 miles or 3 hours east of Portland, on the Columbia near Umatilla. I won’t be heading there for a quick session on my lunch break any time soon. Looks fun, though.

If anybody tries to skate this park and they are not from Irrigon, we will THROW DOWN!!!!!
^^^^^ we’ll meet on neutral territory and fight out the right for non-locs to skate Irrigon with rusty spoons… at Aumsville.
Followed by a cage match at Battleground.
I was concerned about the placement of the urethra too.
In one photo it seems to open right into a hip but it looks like it feeds into that bowl pinball machine style in another photo. I could see that being a traffic problem if it was in a big town.
I am so looking forward to getting in a bunch of fights this summer.
I’m confused. Are we fighting with rusty spoons or skating Irrigon with rusty spoons?
It looks like the urethra might go really low on the cradle side. That could get in the way. Hopefully it is located a little ways up the tranny.
I guess the gnar line will be to carve over the door inside the cradle and then come out and carve over it again on the outside of the cradle…should be interesting.
The door is a big deathbox, so its rad.
It appeared to me that they were about to make two doorways in this park.
The tile in the pipe, the brick coping, the roll off full speed, with rusty spoons…should be fun!!!

Where do you guys get your rusty spoons to skate with these days? I used to to to oxidizedkitchenutensils.com but they aren’t around anymore.
In the summer, Hermiston has a Watermellon festival. Looks like a good reason to go this year since Irrigon and Hermiston are basically “Twin Cities.” Also, that is great wine country area. So you got melon, wine and skating, maybe not in that order.
I like the river rock edge and just about everything else about this park. Too much fun!
i live like ten minits away from that shit and i cant wait to skate it even tho he towns grocery store is also there gass station it is asick looking park trully the best one in this aria of oregon
