New skate park irks neighbors

New skate park irks neighbors

the Home News Tribune (News that hits home in central Jersey!) reports that a new skate park irks neighbors. Noise complaints have neighbors starting a petition to remove the brand new $300,000 skatepark. HNT Staff photographer Jody Somers’ picture clearly shows that these noise complaints could have been avoided or severely curtailed had the city of Linden done a little research and gone with a concrete park instead of prefab. You can read the most compelling study statistics after the jump. Don’t worry, it’s a quick read.

Nationally renown study concerning the feasibility of prefab versus concrete skateparks

Concrete skateparks last longer. Concrete skateparks have a cheaper real cost. Concrete skateparks make less noise.

Smooth move, Ex-Lax.

they should shut down the kid football, soccer, and baseball leagues then so no more kids get hurt.

Sounds like the city did some poor planning putting that place near homes, now those kids not only have a piece of suck to skate but it may get taken away from them.

  4. I’ve NEVER seen a prefab that’s 24 hours, but I can understand if they’re skating at 2 AM… however I doubt this is the case. So the kids are making noise in the day time? Those lil’ bas-turds! Yea JT, keep ’em home playin’ video games so they don’t get hurt… 2 words for Boland: Dumb+Ass…
