Nokia push
Nokia Push… really hard to tell from the web site what the hell they are actually talking about. They keep talking about hacks in a proprietary context that must only maker sense if you already own the phone. They’ve got two “prototypes” for hacks, one of which looks like it makes use of motion sensing capabilities in the phone in order to score points in a game while actually skateboarding. It’s a weak execution of a not so new concept, but I give them this, the commercial is highly reminiscent of the Paper Boy arcade game and amusing to watch.

Friday T&A on S&A: Toppless Skateboarding Nun
This comes via MC’s Skate Comics Depository via Gentlemanly Conduct. It’s from an old Viz magazine, which is the UK’s version of Mad, only geared towards a more adult audience.
Reinforce the importance of group harmony over individualism
This insipid marketing manufactured cartoon and toy line was created by the American Greeting company in 1983. According to Wikipedia, the cartoon’s creators were trying to appease television watchdog agencies crusade against cartoon violence by attempting to “reinforce the importance of group harmony over individualism.” The end result is, well.. as with any compromise of this nature, mediocrity at it’s finest.
Cute dog, Ugly trucks.
This calendar is on the wall of one of my coworker’s cubicle. Something about the board looks odd. The size seems small and a closeup of the trucks looked oddly familiar.
We deilver radness in a pita
Spotted at a Pita Pit in eastern Washington. I think that might be Don Knotts reincarnated.
– Thanks to Justin Thomas for the tip.
Paul Mitchell – Hair Apparent
If I recall correctly, I think there were Paul Mitchell banners up at the Dew Tour. This mountainboarding advert is pretty absurd on a couple of levels, and it’s going to ruin Wes’ weekend.
– Thanks to Shvitz for the tip and the headline.
Goldfish lift off
I’m pretty sure that’s a bottle cap skateboard and a domino launch ramp. Not to be confused with parakeets on fingerboards in a bathroom sink, at which point I bring up vacuum cleaner sucks up budgie.
– Thanks to Seth Levy for the tip.
Technically a tank scooter
According to Gizmodo, this thing is called the DTV Shredder. No matter how many times it shows up on the internet as a tank skateboard, it’s still a scooter. I love how these product videos all have macho electric guitars or techno music in them. Just once I wish they’d have some really sensitive music instead. Something like Morrissey or the Carpenters.
– Thanks to Templeton and Paul Fujita for the tip.
Acrylates Copolymer, Ethyl Acetate
The ingredients in fake tattoos, in case you were wondering. This package of fake tattoos actually has the ingredients listed on the back, as if you were going to eat them. This guy looks familiar.
