Skate and Annoy: Daily

The Pink Panther: Mexican, Japanese, Well Groomed, Puzzling and Animated.

It’s a Pink Panther jumbo post!

– Thanks to Cool Steve for 99% of this.

Here they are in order, as seen in the post title.

A Mexican comic book from 1979, as seen on eBay. There were only a few pictures of the inside, none of which featured skateboarding.

Here’s an alternate cover (See board) from Norway.

Pink Panther skateboards seen on Yahoo Japan.

A Pink Panther comb from 1979 that I found on Ebay some time around 2015.

Pink Panther bum rushes a roller rink in this puzzle dating back to 1982. As seen on the Pink Panther Wiki.

Then there’s the animated short titled Pink Pool Fool, part of the Pink Panther and Pals reboot (episode 6a) that originally aired on April 11, 2010. Although it tried to carry on in the same spirit of the original series from the 60’s and 70’s, the reboot feels a little bit like a cheap imitation.

Heres the episode synopsis from Wikipedia:

Pink Panther goes to the local skate park only to find it closed for the day. Undeterred, he finds ways to drain the water from the pool he shares with Big Nose in order to use it as a substitute, but a battle ensues as Big Nose wants his pool filled so he can have a cool dip during the hot day.

The Pink Panther exiting his humble abode.

Skating down the street. No mongo! So far so good.

Dreaming of the skatepark…

Inverts too!

The skatepark is closed! Some teenagers myst have tagged it.

Oh no!

Oh well… What can you do?

Oh yeah, there’s a pool in my backyard…

Seems like it ought o be skate able, so let’s drain it.

For some unexplained reason, the Pink Panther lives with the character known only as Big Nose. Big Nose is not happy that the pool has been drained.

Getting ready to drop in…

Getting some!

Every cartoon skateboard bowl or ramp sequence requires a kick flip scene. It’s a federal law.

The Pink Panther’s wack skateboard turns into a surfboard in the nick of time.

Big Nose has filled the pool while Pink was in mid air.

Hang loose.

Drained again. Time for a gnarly acid  drop.

Until Big Nose fills he pool again…

Not shown: Rerouting the water from the pool into the home casques a tidal wave that washes everyone down to the now-opened skatepark.

Big Noses’s dog looks like Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Panther is the foot-fucking-master! Starts riding to the park switch. I consider him goofy-footed but rides the board home backwards and takes the (mirrored) looping switch frontside!
