The real burn is that this short movie is just an extrapolated version of a dandruff commercial circa 2001 or so. I thoght I posted it already but I don’t think I have. Basically, it’s a skateboarder with a flaming head raging through the streets. Pretty much the same thing, though years earlier and not as well shot or polished in post production. I’ll have to dig through my tapes when I get home and put it up. Once the visual effects turn on, all reality is thrown out the window, so even on some of the more believable sequences it’s impossible to tell what is real. What’s it for? A new product from Coca Cola called Burn Energy Drink. According to Creative Review:

Mexico City is full of potential “skate spots,” and its strange to come upon those spots and not find skateboarding marks (wax, skids, etc.), much less skaters themselves. Spot after spot after spot and never a skater. It actually freaks you out.
The Mexican economy, as we all know, is not robust; it’s always two gears behind ours, and so it just doesn’t support the essentially leisure activity that is skateboarding, on the level that it’s sustained here in the U.S. where anything skateable has been skated to the point of destruction, where people can hang all day at the skatepark while surreptitiously drinking beer.
There are skaters and skateparks there in Mexico City, it’s just difficult running into them…
