Vision Old Ghosts
John Grigley’s Old Ghosts series from Vision. Not really pro models, but always associated with Grigley as it became knowledge that he was the artist behind it. Somehow or other John Grigley was smart or lucky enough to be able to retain the rights to his work. The Old Ghosts art was distinct enough to be it’s own microcosm within Vision. Even as Vision and Vision Street Wear became oversaturated and less appealing to skateboarding counterculture, there was something about these Old Ghost boards that still seemed “core.” However, that Hippie Stick doesn’t quite fit with the others… The photo is a double exposure print of separate photos by Grant Brittain and Tod Swank.
Detail of the boards.
