I wonder if Sheckler has one of these?
Andrew Lewicki made some very fetishistic skate art objects, namely this gold plated grind rail and a walnut launch ramp. Said the tipster:
“Even Norm Abram from The New Yankee Workshop would say ‘This is fucking gay!'”
Well, I don’t know if he would use those words exactly… I’m not sure where in the price scale the next item falls. Tom Sachs made a life size quarterpipe that was cast in bronze. Somewhere I thought I had seen a solid bronze casting of a skateboard. I thought it was Burnside muralist Jay Meer, but I might be wrong. What if you wanted a four foot tall bronze statue of a girl on a skateboard? Well, you’re in luck, provided you have $2,000 to spend. When will we see the inevitable gold plated skateboard?

Bronze sculpture of a girl on a skateboard.
Sculptor unknown. Buy it for $$2,207.00 from krupps.com.
Design outdoor spaces with as much panache and attention to detail as your indoor ones! In flower beds, lawns, pools, or ponds, these solid bronze ornamental sculptures created in the “lost wax method” are ideal for your unique decorating ideas.
All that attention to detail falls by the wayside when it comes to the skateboard. I don’t think it would have been at home in any era.

Liberace gay.

The rail and jump ramp could be more functional, ya Know..
As for the sculpture It def. does not measure up to my version of a hooded NW SkateArmy rider on board. lol
interesting though

When I worked at oregon door we had a door with $500 a piece door skins on it(some exotic wood I dont remember what it was). I would like to have used those for a launch ramp. I think u could also make a shitty skateboard in there using a bunch of different species of veneers and one of the press’
