Wanta Fanta

Fanta has a commercial spot with animated skateboarders in it. I don’t know if they’ve ditched the Fanta girls, but they are channeling pro skateboarders who are channeling punk rockers. I haven’t seen this one on the air yet, anybody else?

I saw it only because it was just after dinner with the extended family where we argued over wearing helmets while skating and then I hear the scream that even Coke is encouraging kids to skate without one.

Rad. I’ve not seen it at all. Love the red flavor.

7 or so years ago we lived in a well known hispanic area of Los Angeles, and often ordered food and spoke more in spanish, generally out of habit.
Well, we’re at the drive thru in El Pollo Loco, and my wife is ordering, and she gets to the drinks and orders a fanta for herself, not just “fanta”, but for whatever reason(maybe she thought Fanta was from Mexico, like Jarritos)she pronounces w/an accent, “fonnn-tuh” …then total silence from the little speaker, and total laughter from me.
I was just cracking up and she was like “whaaaah?”
Maybe it’s only funny to me or you had to be there but now I cant hear Fanta without thinking about that shit.

  3. I always wanted to see a Segway crash into a brick wall. A little disappointed that the wall broke…

Elaborate. The Kremlin or Hitler’s secret recipe behind it?
Made of the blood and ashes of Jews?

Coke quit selling to the Nazis in ’41 so the german Coke distributor cooked up his own recipe for a soft drink that would make mein fuhr say aaaaahhh. My jewish friend is making a difference in 2011 by not buying the stuff. She also won’t imunize her kids. Needless to say she’s no fun.

Grocery Outlet has the bottled orange stuff with real sugar on sale for .60 a bottle, FYI. Same with the mexican coca-cola.
