San Jose Wormhoudt progress
Larry Pescatore sent in some more progress shots of the Wormhoudt park in San Jose:
It looks all but finished: the concrete and bowls all look done and the perimeter fence has been built. The testament to monolithic artsy skatable landmarks is complete. The bathrooms have been built. All that seems left is the parking lot and/or outer landscaping. They even built a walkway up but it’s all fenced off.
It looks more like a nuclear power plant than a skatepark in the shot above. More after the jump.

Are my eyes deceiving me, or is that pool coping on the monolith? Over the door at Pier was one thing, this seems to be another entirely. Danny Way seems a likely candidate for a variety of firsts on this monster…
i love how they complete a wet dream like that then try to keep skaters out of it for a month or two
i cant wait to pay to park there. its gonna be like an outdoor vans park. !!!
The leviathan
That’s too rude!
if it were a vans(tm) (r) (c) park, you would need 15 bucks an hour, all pads and no drinks inside. Rode the Bakersfield one, it was ~115 degrees and the retards wouldn’t let us bring water onto the half… gee i wonder why your place went down the shitter? Steve – who did you use for a business model for those xtreme crap parks by the way? Hitler?
Good for San HOSE. You finally have something to go and pay to skate…
eXtreme prison, complete with razor wire and palm trees!?
maybe that thing will straighten Cab’s neck…signed, Josh Marlowe
looks like a moon landscape…
[…] we had construction pictures of San Jose’s Lake Cunningham skatepark out the wazoo, and then some, but nobody cares about that once the park is open, especially when you have a photo session with […]
