57 MPH!!!

Torque Sets World Speed Record At Signal Hill

On March 20. we surprised the skateboard world. In three successive runs we posted record speeds of 57 MPH. Riding a specially designed skateboard created by Steve Davis, Dave Dillberg showed what performance is all about. He beat out Henry Hester in overall speed even though Dave spun out on one of the runs.

If performance is as important to you as it is to Dave Dillberg, then you too should check out Torque. We’re putting innovation on wheels at a record rate. Our ProSlalom board was the first foam core board ever made. It has a quickness and style unequalled by any other company. Now we are introducing a unique series of multi-laminate maple core flex boards that hold their memory indefinitely, and have a spring and snap that is unreal. And we also have a full-line of solid oak boards in varying lengths, with or without a warped-tail.

In the weeks ahead you’ll be able to try our new line of quality wheels designed to help you set your own records. If you want to keep up with what’s happening at Torque, send today for our complete catalog. Enclose 50¢ to cover cost of postage and handling, and we will also add your name to our mailing list for our skateboarding newsletter.

  • As a kid always dreamed of the box in the store or should I say the store in a box owning a skateboard shop… But while other kids dreamed of the Bonneville Salt Flats or Daytona… Signal Hill was the calling and at that time 55 seemed so fast… As technology has increased downhill speeds are around 100! Personally never had runs much more than 45 and never got the skate shop but after a lifetime of the sound of urethane On Pavement skateboarding has become a integrated fiber in my life as it has gathered so many others in the same way… balance Focus concentration a little bit of pain and fear make a beautiful cocktail…Sk8 4life .. urethane Outlaws rule!
