Hobie: Step on it… it’s alive!

hobie

Hobie skateboards with some excellent ad copy here: “for generating momentum out of your pumping, aggressive style,” and “…complemented by the best high-perfomance skateboard traction wheels and all-steel trucks.” Man, I wish I had me some of them all-steel trucks.

Detail of the photo. Flip flops are performance skate shoes circa 1975. Check out that guys foot on the bottom left. It’s the missing link! It gets even better when you look at the guy in the top left; his feet are two different colors like he had a foot transplant!

Step on it… it’s alive!

New! Alive! The Hobie hand-laminated fiberglass skateboard is flexible and maneuverable. A perfect blend of strength and sensitivity for spontaneous controlled reflex action.

Twenty-four or twenty-seven inches long, with room to walk the board, hang ten, do wheelies, 360’s, just to touch on a few of the possibilities.

Drawing from our years of knowledge gained from producing high-performance surfboards and catamarans (working with exotic resins and fibers), we’ve applied our engineering expertise to this new realm of downhill motion sport to create the perfect medium for generating momentum out of your pumping, aggressive style. All this is complemented by the best high-perfomance skateboard traction wheels and all-steel trucks.

Our skateboard team just placed first and second in the recent Bahne/Cadillac National Championships held in Del Mar, California. These winners all used Hobie Surf Flex Skateboards.

lf you want just a toy to cruise around on, a lesser board will do. But if you’re really serious about the sport and want to push your limits, and really be hot-step up to a Hobie Surf Flex and let it come alive.

Available at your local Hobie dealer, or send $37.95 plus $2.00 to help cover postage and handling to:
