Hang Ten World Pro/Am Skateboard Championships 1975

This is a program from the 1975 Hang Ten World Pro/Am Skateboard Championships. It would have set you back one buck in 1975, or about $6 and some change at the time this was added to the gallery. There were four events: speed racing (pros only), freestyle, head-to-head slalom, and the cross country / obstacle race. This program is slightly over 8’5 x 11″. The cover and interior pages are all glossy, slightly heaveir than typical magazine stock. This program comes from the collection of Mark Conahan.

Where: Los Angeles Sports Arena
When: September 20th, 1975
Governing Body: Pro/ Am Skateboard Racing Association
Sponsored By: Hang Ten and Bahne Skateboards

This is the first interior spread. An ad for UPM and and Ad fro Rolls Royce Highrollers wheels featuring Larry Bertleman. The page on the left is actually gray and not a poor scan.

A schedule of events and an ad for co-sponsor Bahne skateboards. The reason we are also treated to a piece about motorcycle announcer Larry Huffman reprinted from Motorcyclist Magazine is because he is the master f ceremonies.

An add for Lightning Bolt “action-wear” and a welcome message from the Pro/ Am Skateboard Racing Association.
