Newberg – Day 3
This day started for me with getting a late start, and then getting stuck in a parking lot on the highway due to a tanker truck catching fire. By the time I got there the Women’s finals were almost over, so n opictures ladies, sorry. Last year this event was held in Aumsville. They decided the event was not family friendly or in the best interests of Aumsville, so this year it was held in Newberg, and there were no complaints. That’s Aumsville’s loss, I guess. Not much to report other than a heat wave and Dave Reul competing in the Masters insteadd of the Pro division. last year’s local vert ruler Jeff Taylor showed up recovering from a flu, and just wasn’t feeling it. Come to think of it, neither was the photographer, hence the sub-par coverage. (…another staggering amount of crappy photos., I’m embarrassed.) Chet Childress made an appearance for the first time as well. Thankfully, the local P.A. was not blasting horrible Christian Rock (is there any other kind?) like they do during tthe BMX track races. Oh yeah, Jon Jon Bryan dislocated his shoulder twice, but still finished competing.

Yeah well.. that’s it. It was fun, even when it wasn’t. Se ya there next year hopefully.
