Skate and Annoy: Daily
Countdown to GSD?
What is this countdown to GSD on the new Foundation web site? Is it some sort of cryptic announcement about the inventor of the boneless one? (Yes, the correct name actually has two words..) Can anyone shed some light?
Hans Moleman’s “Football To The Groin”
While we’re on the subject of video slams I might as well post this one for you which comes courtesy of Foundation Skateboards newly redesigned web site. Foundation has been at this web thing for 10 years now, and they are proud of it. The vid has a lot of Internet famous footage of wacky extreme sports slams and other people just being idiots. Good for a laugh.
Loop Of Death
Ouch. Last year I covered this event. This year I just kind of forgot about the Billy Runaway of video clip on his blog. The clip is hosted on a site called
You Wish You Lived Here
For the five people that Read SnA but don’t read Antigravity Press, MC has a couple of posts on Portland’s Pier Park progress and the new Woodland Washington bowl that is about 24 miles north of Portland. OK, I’ll just cop to not having time to write my own posts right now. I’m pissed he scooped me on the Woodland pics. I’ve been following the progress but failed to post on it. Duh.
Proud Parents of Skull Baby
The Baby was delivered at The High Dive Hospital in Champaign Illinois on September 16, 2006. Proud parents were seen in the audience shouting themselves hoarse and spraining their wrists attempting to give the sign of Satan. More pics to follow later. I just wanted everyone to know that the show was a success on many levels. This is from the club’s calendar flyer.
Never Trust A Hippie
In keeping with the head/skull theme of the last three posts, here’s a pic of the “Grateful Shred” Matix tour poster. Uggh. Johnny Rotten said “Never trust a hippie” and the Didjits have a song called “One Dead Hippie.” What else is there to say besides we’re grateful Jerry’s dead.
Another Houlie Ghoulie Head
Posting the Didjits Houlie Ghoulie head reminded me that I had another skull issue to deal with. Sometimes something is so ugly that it becomes a thing of beauty.
Mama Had A Skull Baby
Praise God The Christmas Fish, I’m headed to see the Didjits again, for second time in one week. This time as I’m hooking up with the band in advance so I should have no problems getting my camera in to what could be the last show… ever. Rumor has it there will be a vert session of old CU skaters thanks to Mike Poor. All I can say is Balls… Fire.
Xcreme Your Jeans
A coworker had these on the desk yesterday. Good enough reason to start a new category since I’ve got a backlog of food packaging with skateboards on it in my basement. These cookies look like they are made out of Play Doh ®. Seriously! See the proof after the jump.
Wallos… Again.
Vieira has some cool pics of Wallos aon a new blog that I thought I’d pass on seeing as how our Newcastle feature just made mention of it. Looks like they dug a weird trench through the middle (10 years ago..). Not sure if that was to dissuade skaters, cause Vieira’s short on the details. In any case, make sure you click on the pics to get the larger view on Claiming. Top: Tommy Guerrero skates Wallos on the April ’85 cover of Thrasher over a detail from Vieira’s post. Check it out.
