Here’s a short documentary on the Kings Highway DIY project in Saint Louis, made by Gabe Kehoe.

Backyard Pool
I guess the coping arrives on Tuesday. This is the same bowl that was a Shot of the Week.
SOTW 5-24-10: Sicily
This week’s Shot of the Week is from Helmut at Surfside-Boardshop in Palermo, Italy. His friend Alessandro wrote:
In Sicily the guys have discovered a huge estate seized to an arrested mafia boss, the fact is that this estate has got something in between a ditch and a pool, and they step in there to skate it, i find this very rad, the action is not out of danger, it could actually always come some affiliates to get them under stress, or maybe no, this nobody knows, the cool thing is that the place is quite hidden so is not easy to find…
It’s vaguely reminiscent of the Tea Bowls. Check out the Shot of the Week then see some extras after the jump.
Matt Kline’s fundraiser bowl jam is on
It’s been raining on and off here in Portland for the past few days. You’re itching to skate right? Fuel TV’s Pool Party webcast is going to be totally clogged, so maybe you should pack up the RV and head down to Matt Kline’s in Grants Pass for the bowl jam tomorrow.
Matt called and said it’s on. He can tarp the bowl if necessary.
Juice is loose
New Juice is out. This one features interviews with Dave Tobin, Ben Krahn, Donovan Rice, Exene Cervenka, Brewce Martin, Chris Strople and Slayer among others.
Wilson!
I can’t beleive there hasn’t been a skate rock song called “Wilson” before this new JFA tune on DC Jam records. I mean, House of Neil and I were in a skate rock band called McWIlson for the love of Hosoi, and we didn’t even think to write it. Watch the vid after the jump. Read the the Brian Brannon interview on S&A.
What can you make out of two crappy dots?
The secret word is “do.” Season 5, epsiode 9. I’ve owned this for 4 years and I finally got around to watching this episode. I’ve got my kids trained to tell me anytime there’s a skateboard on TV. “Daddy, Daddy! There’s a skateboard on TV!” Usually it’s a Sketchers commercial. There’s another episode in season one where Pee Wee briefly pulls out a plastic skateboard and says something like “Oh! A skateboard! Ha ha!” Of course my kids managed to crack that that DVD. This episode caught me by surprise. I saw Pee Wee back on David Letterman (?) a while back. I hear they are talking about making another movie. Pee Wee’s Playhouse was the shiznit.
Are you ready to get Duffed?
It’s Matthijs week on Skate and Annoy. remember Bud Man on a skateboard? Well the only reason you’re not looking at a picture of this on me (or my wife) is because it’s a damned small size. Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem. Buy it now for $45
