Viral marketing from Volkswagon (don’t ever buy one) that equates the fun life with Volkswagons (don’t ever buy one). Does anyone want to buy a 2000 Eurovan with 110,000 miles on it? Don’t ever buy one, unless you want to buy mine, which is awesome. These guys affixed skateboards to some shopping carts. Stuck them in a grocery store somewhere in Europe obviously, because that shit would never fly here in the US. It’s apparently on again, although you wouldn’t know by going to the official web site, which is still stuck in pre-09 event mode. There is a flyer circulating on Facebook that say’s it slated for August, 20th-22nd, to be held in Lincoln City, West Linn and Tigard. I don’t know what a “Grass Roots Pro Purse” is, but I’ll bet the pros won’t be too excited about it. Good thing the parks are worth traveling to. Looks like it’s still a World Cup sanctioned event. Toxic Skate in Vancouver is having a summer kick of bash this Saturday. It’s indoors so even though summer is still MIA from Portland, you can still skate. Saturday, June 19th, 3-11pm.

I found this image on one of those aggregator sites, or rather I should say I ffffound it. I can’t tell you anything about it because it the original source appears to be a tumblr site and nobody seems to be able to figure out how to link to individual items. 70’s vintage for sure, but it looks odd. Is it a powerslide, curb drop or a photoshop job?
