Mystery Duane Peters deck

It looks like a cross between classic Duane Peters graphic and a Bob Schmelzer graphic, on a skull skates shape. Tyler picked this up at work one day, but the original owner couldn’t shed any light on in it. The deck itself seems of a higher quality than typical bootlegs of the era. Is it a test print or a misprint that later had unrelated designs screened on it? Enlarged after the jump.

    I’m pretty sure that’s a Circle A.

They had a model with exactly the same 5 stripes in exactly the same position. And theirs also had a cross in the middle, but it was behind a tombstone. So Kilwag, good call with the Bob Schmeltzer reference.

      Artofskateboarding says 1986,
      Disposable Bible says ca. 1988.
I think it is a Peters Circle-A but a test run for an alternative graphic.

      1. I couldn’t find a DP that looked remotely similar on AOS

Randy are you serious? Look at the first Circle A deck. The stripes are 100% identical.

    1. I guess I didn’t get a good look at the picture.
