Chet Childress and Al Partanen hooked up with Skate Daily to pitch a reality-esque skate show a couple years back. It’s been shelved, but why let it go to waste. This is the second Portland based skate reality show to meet an untimely demise, maybe third time is a charm. There was this series of videos that Loaded put out about three guys longboarding (yes, I know, not really skateboarding) across Bolivia and Peru. It’s inexplicably compelling and fun and I couldn’t wait for them to put up the next ten-minute episode every time one ended.

Maybe if Trippin had gone on a real adventure (a voyage of discovery, into the unknown) instead of a “reality” show where they hit all the old spots, meet up old friends, and have someone along doing a little art direction, it could have been something…
