Spohn breaks ground in the Dalles, Or

Spohn Ranch has begun building a new skatepark in the Dalles, OR. It’s a small 7,500 square foot street spot type park that will be 100% poured in place concrete. I don’t know how this one got past all the Northwest companies, but you know what they say about spilt milk. Catch some renders of the park after the jump.

UPDATE: I forgot to include the renders, but I’ve added them..

I see no renderings… street park can be done by anyone, I mean thats the point right? Its like the street spots made by average joe construction worker. Hiring a company like dreamland would be overkill.

  2. Stoked for real.

Damn, in hindsight I wish we had bid on that one.

I totally wish you would have bid on that. I love your parks

  4. I checked out a few of their other parks. They make some nice looking plazas, which this will probably be. Some of the terrain was pretty innovative too.

Although they have done some bowls as well that don’t look too shabby either.

It’s got some fun tranny and we will be adding a bowl for phase 2. I believe one of the renderings shows it.

Will be very interested to see how the bowl turns out, especially if Spohn actually does the work and doesn’t hire it out to another company.

  9. is that an expansion pack for The Sims?

  10. Not bad for the space. Another fun park to hit along the gorge.

I told the crew at dreamland when the city was in the planning stage. They must have either not bid the job. Or not landed it. Hard to believe either way!

  13. Sweet more parks to skate for the Gorgeians.
