Tony Hawk demands concrete!

This is actually almost two weeks old, but it’s still well worth mentioning. Hats off to the Tony Hawk Foundation, who has introduced a new requirement for skatepark grants; No more prefab wooden parks. Read the press release titled “If Not Concrete, Then Why?”

  1. this is probably wrong because those parks are everywhere, but is that a park in Naperville IL? I was there visiting family and the dumpy ass local kids waxed the ramps and the ground so they could power slide. i almost broke my leg.

    The concrete side looks like Cannon Beach.

  6. This is a good idea. Way more permanent. I don’t think skateboarding will ever go as underground as it did in the early 90’s, but give kids a place to skate weather it’s popular or not.
