Crocs with street smarts?

Crocs, the manufacturer of those ubiquitous vinyl shoes has released a shoe they are marketing as “street smart.” I don’t think they are positioning the Devario as an actual skate shoe, but just look at that cute creature on the skateboard. Actually, it’s more creepy than cute.

– Thanks to Zach Olsen for the tip.

  • Obese Man

Dude, I’ve seen it all now! Used to be Crocs catered to a core audience of those of us incapable of tying our own shoes due to excessive girth and general malaise. Let me tell ya the couch-bound feel left out in the cold with Crocs’ latest overture to the able-bodied, youth market. WTF! This is way worse than when they featured that skinny old gardener lady in their ad.

Man, Crocs used to be the shit. I’ll never forget when I saw them for the first time at Wal-Mart. It was like my dream to maybe someday get sponsored by them! Sure I can’t tie or see my shoes, but Crocs gave me and my friends some dignity in a world quick to judge us based on appearance. We used to get blamed for supposedly destroying park benches and stuff.

And it used to be that like no one was obese, now everyone is in on it. I gotta say though it’s nice having fast food in almost every town these days. So rad to do a road trip and just session some new burger joint you read about on some blog. Even the small towns have ’em now! And some of these young kids are really getting grossly overweight in places you never even heard of. It blows my mind to pull up to a Hardees and see a 150 pound ten-year-old just shredding a thickburger. I mean this one kid was like totally diabetic already! I mean if this kid stays with it, I can totally see him having a stroke by 30. He was that heavy!

    I don
