Skate and Annoy: Daily

Chopper and Handsome Dal make a video

Some novel street action from Nippon. Looks like clips from a longer video. I’m going to draw comparisons to some of the Richie Jackson footage or maybe this other Japanese action. I found this on the blog of the guy Harvest who did those cool sculptures made out of old decks. Anyone care to translate?

future cities rocked by skate wizards on gutter smack

  • and that chumbawamba soundtrack, wow. love it. i usually try to pull shit like that when im two days deep on some good mushrooms. you gotta be really admirably fucked in the head to be doing this on daily basis. kudos.

  • Love the way these dudes skate. Fun skating is the best skating.

  • ping

  • looks like the way we had fun skateboarding as little kids

  • Awesome. Chopper is pro for an english company called Heroin, look them up if you like this. Also, there’s another japanese skater called Gou Miyagi, amazing style and whike you’re watching, bear in mind this guy glues cloth onto his deck instead of griptape!!

  • I’m sure someone already posted this. But here’s Dal, Chopper and the Osaka Daggers from Heron’s ‘Live From Antarctica.’

  • those are rad!
im gonna go ahead and call this japanese style skating from now on. and its awesome. would like to see more stuff like this from japan or anywhere.

  • Hell yes, this is great.

  • look up the osaka daggers, too. same dudes.

  • I don’t know if I found this on your (skateannoy)or not…I can’t remember….but it’s also japanese and fairly flipped…

  • not the same old stuff. It’s nice to see some creativity.

  • fun vids, the “board” slide at the end of the first one was ill.

  • Bret Burrill Taylor

How many stairs have you ‘walked the dog’ up?

  • I love this stuff. So much creativity and fun using the city as a playground, with high degree of difficulty and ankle danger. Really the essence of skating here. I hope these guys have wheel sponsors, though. Looks like a new set every session.
