Aphalt Spot - Tokamashi, Japan

World’s most skateable parking structure

I don’t know whether the architects are cooler in Europe and Asia, or the people with the deep pockets have more progressive outlook. Why doesn’t any of this stuff get built over here? The Aphalt Spot is in Tokamashi, Japan. Head on over to SpaceInvading to get the pics. Bonus walk through vid after the jump. – Thanks to Sk8 D for the tip.

  1. As a Tokyo resident I was at first excited to see this.. Hopefully a new place to skate that wouldn’t be too crowded.. But in Tokamachi!??! Talk about being in the middle of nowhere.. sheesh..

  2. I know… Tokamachi, right? What a waste, oh wait , I have no idea where that is…

most skateable? I’ve seen thousands of parking garages that I’d rather skate other than that.

  4. Pbfffft! I knew someone would take issue with that, but still, I say pbfffft! It’s just a headline.

I laugh my ass off every time I see that mother cat and kitten shipping logo. Cool spot, we need on of these in Oki.

rad. but a parking lot for only 20 cars? i think that’s why we won’t get anything like that here, we need ones for at least 300 cars. anyone know what “300 m2 exhibition” means?
