Girl Plank Series

The Planks series of graphics by Girl Skateboards is an idea that is so simple I kick myself for not thinking of it. I saw a kid with the Koston board set up at Pier Park over the weekend, and it looked even cooler with the addition of real trucks on top of Ithe graphic. The image above is from their online catalog, but it’s not quite big enough to give you an idea of how great they look. I scoured the Interwebs™ for bigger pictures and managed to find four out of the six in the series. If anyone at Girl reads this, how about sending some pics?

I was just at a shop in New York and saw these things. I agree, they’re just as rad in real-life!

This is not cool and only makes histrionic skate losers even bigger losers. Die already.

  7. Decorating your skateboard is like playing dress up. Here are some acceptable designs for skateboard graphics.

OK with you, but not with the U.S. flag code -(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkin or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard.

  9. that would be funny if all the rules in the US flag code were enforced. we’d have patrolls of cops at sunset ticketing all homeowners that don’t properly fold their flags and bring them in at night, and a hefty fine for improper placement on a vehicle etc.. there would probably be some grey areas regarding posting stuff like that skateboard on a computer. is it technically a American flag if it does not have all the stars, or just a defacement?

The most bizarre thing about the flag code is this – the flag is not only a SYMBOL, it is also considered to be a LIVING ENTITY – so maybe PETA could get involved in certain violations…
