Skate and Annoy: Daily

Jess Kendall

What’s wrong with this picture?

Talk of Jeff Kendall been in our comments lately so I thought this was a good time to spotlight this Chinese counterfeit Jeff, excuse me, Jess Kendall deck and mention that House of Neil is compiling some more counterfeits as well as working on the April eBay Watch. What’s next? Les Mountain, Bob Roskopp or Jane Lucero? You’ll have to wait and see.

  • I think we paid $75, split between me, PRBL, and another old friend of ours…definately more than it was worth…the seller had it up as a Buy It Now at $150 or Best Offer…if nothing else we hold the world record for highest price paid for a piece of crap counterfeit Jess Kendall…so how come it didn’t pop up on eBay Watch????…

  • houseofneil

hey swamp, how much did you pay for it? More than $50?

  • houseofneil

oh I remember, and I’m keeping score. All you f*ckers will pay. . . .

I can imagine. I’m just glad nobody cares who I am, for the amount of stupid shit I did or said or was blamed for in my youth. Water under the bridge.

  • check your inbox, editor…seems like every old guy who has a skateboard website is butt hurt about some perceived slight or transgression by Kendall that happened decades ago…the poolnpipes guy was belly aching a couple years ago about Kendall supposedly craching his windshield with a thrown beer bottle…won’t steal the punch line on this one, but be sure to cover that ground when you clear the air in the SandA Kendall interview

  • …and after I grabbed it off of eBay the peanut gallery on Skull and Bones ripped me apart for paying too much for it… they were certain that I was clueless to what I was buying…when it arrived in the mail I took it out of the box and stood on in my living room and it felt like the flimsiest, most dangerous thing I’ve ever encountered.

    REVENGE! Ha.

Editor at this website dot com

We’ll get that Kendall interview one way or another…

  • a while back one of these Jess Kendall rip offs showed up on E-Bay and Chip Jones and a couple other guys who grew up skating with Jeff in Indianapolis bought it as a present for his 40th birthday…Chip also gave Jeff back his first helmet that he wore at our ramp, which was a black fulltec minus its BMX mouthguard…tell me what e-mail addy to use and I’ll send SkateandAnnoy some super old and embarrassing pics to post of Jess, I mean Jeff

  • houseofneil

I haven’t seen those. Any pics by any chance?

  • My favorite ones are “eel lender” and bonnie hawg.

  • houseofneil

How did you know about the Bob RossCobb? I have some real beauts for ya.

Will the real counterfeit board please stand up?

  • yeah I had that board, stole it actually, and that isn’t it- the real one had a blunt nose and killer concave.

  • soreknee

    for back in the day?

I have got to start having my ten year old proofread everything I type.

  • soreknee

If I remeber right Jess is Jeff’s older sister.
I think she was a photographer and pro skater for Powell Minolta for back in the day.

  • Engadget posts up good ripoffs here if you are techy person

    http://www.engadget.com/tag/keepin+it+real+fake/

  • Don’t you think I can identify name brands? There’s Magnetbox and Sorny!

  • there was a grosso alice in wonderland chinese ripoff that went around a while ago, funny shit.
