I started on my driveway and the sidewalk in front of my house. As soon as I was confident I was skating a bank at the local shopping center. We didn’t have that many hills nearby. I consider my roots to be banks, ramps and pools. Handstands down hills, carving in the street and pushing from spot to spot are vague memories it was always about finding a bank or a pool or building a ramp.
