Newton City Council has voted to designate a concrete pad on North Ashe Avenue in downtown Newton as the city’s official skateboarding location. Newton otherwise forbids skateboarding in the central business district.
A concrete pad will always “meet the needs of skaters”. I wonder how long it will be before the kids of Newton stop or actually never go to the pad to skate. Maybe they can build a ramp on it.
