You don’t even need to speak French. i always wondered where they got their performers from, now I know. Nothing like paying $70 for a ticket to watch someone skate in a funny costume. I can do that for free in Oregon.

The creative team will use traditional stage techniques and the very latest in theater technology to bring the audience of nearly 5,000 as close as possible to the performers. There will be an emphasis on color, music and comedy as well as the customary circus arts the public has come to expect from Cirque du Soleil.

And the always popular Four Wheels Down movie.

And another video from another site where it is labeled as “Gay Skater.” I’m pretty sure that’s not what the title is. Check out Dan’s interview from Big Brother (link above) to see his thoughts on Gesmer-bashing.

  • who knew kilwag frequented the cirque du soleil website?

  • A

Wow, Tod Swank and Dan Gesmer have both graced our comments. I’m speechless.

  • Thanks for the heads-up! I sure hope Cirque picks me over Claus Grabke…

Actually, I had some talks with Cirque du Soleil many, many years ago about helping them create a wheels-oriented show that they were thinking about. They never went anywhere with the idea.

I have a few friends who’ve performed with Cirque – one a clown, the other a singer. Their experiences were mixed…

  • Rodney! Rodney! Rodney! Or was it Per who skated in whiteface?
