China Banks RIP
Legendary San Francisco skate spot China Banks is no more. The spot was apparently not popular with the community but oddly enough it had nothing to do with the skateboarding and more to do with the use of the rest of the space. Makes no difference now… Video from KPIX after the jump.
Welfare Skateboards outta 90’s Chicago
After adding the first issue of 312 zine from 1990 to the zine gallery, a reader sent in some pictures and details about a Welfare Skateboards deck he bought from Sluggo. There’s an ad for Welfare in that issue, so that definitely tracks. However, there’s also an ad for Sluggo Skates… So I’m confused, and the fog of time is not helping.
