The July/August issue of Osider Magazine has a nice eight page feature on the history and legacy of skateboarding in Oceanside California. The cover features a 1985 photo of Mark Gonzales from the vaults of J. Grant Britain. Osider is one of those local lifestyle mags funded by ads from local business. It’s a fluff piece typical of these types of publications, but the photos are good and there’s even a Steve Rocco sighting. You can read the entire issue online.
Cover on the left. On the right is “A word from the publisher.” It turns out publisher Jamey Stone is one of those pesky skateboarders who grew up to be a responsible adult.

Finally, the meat. I still love that “Aggro Zone” graphic.
