Grover's Video Korner 18: Holly Farm

GVK#18: Where the hell is everyone?

So here it is, a too long and boring GVK18. It was a slim crowd at Holly Farms for the 1st Saturday, but we had fun as you can see via the video. The average age of the crowd was 30 years of age and the average weight of each person was 200 pounds or more maybe. We finally got “Bacon Master” Collin to ride and boy were we surprised. Who knows, maybe he will ride more with us. I know he is a business man who make tons of money off his skateboarding empire. I also know he is a skater now. It was good to session with him and Tim. Peace OFF Grover

  • There will be a time, not too far in the future, when every neighborhood park in the country will have a skate spot like Holly Farm. Portland is pioneering this idea and it fits in so well, with the playground, the field, dogs, oblivious kids, teenagers carrying skateboards around trying to look cool, sweaty old guys trying to figure out the lines. An idyllic American scene if I ever saw one. Can you tell that I just got back from a very fun session there? We are very fortunate geezers.

  • This park seriously looks like so much fun.

Collin, you must be doing it wrong, cause we’re rich. Beyond your wildest dreams!

  • for the record, i haven’t made a single dime… and i’d skate more with you guys if you’d invite me

I would like to clarify two things:

I didn’t hear Grover’s ratings scale correctly and I wasn’t trying to imply that the park was not fun. I think it’s a weird and cool little spot. Fun for all ages and skills.

Also, I think the average age was a little bit higher than 30…
