What makes a Fibreflex great?

What makes a Fibreflex great?

  • Bennet Hijacker trucks are wide tracking for better turning leverage. They’re more durable, stable, and maneuverable than ordinary trucks.
  • The high gloss dipped varnish finish gives the surface a lustrous sheen.
  • Resiliant four-inch non-skid tape covers the full length of the board for ultimate safety, traction, and comfort.
  • The top compression layer is made of 99% unidirectional fibreglass for ideal modulus elasticity and flexual strength.
  • The bottom tension layer works in conjunction with the compression layer to store energy and return it in a pump. This gives a powerful thrust out of tums.
  • Road Rider wheels are formulated for optimum adhesion on vertical walls: they also deliver up to 20% greater speed. Sealed precision bearings provide a smooth, stable ride.
  • The thin liner layers are made of bidirectional fibreglass and cloth bonded by high-strength epoxy adhesive. They laterally reinforce the board.
  • The high grade solid rock maple core spaces the layers for the proper degree of flex and torque.

Top quality. A leader in progressive design for ten years, we invented the flexible laminated skateboard, infinitely expanding the possibilities and pleasures of the sport. We use only the best grades of fibreglass, wood, and epoxy to build the best skateboards in the world. We equip them with nothing but the top-of-the-line wheels and trucks, such as Power Paw. Sims, Alli-gator, Tracker, and Chicago, so that you get maximum traction, control, and stability. Layers of three different materials are laminated together, heat-cured and pressed, in a unique process that makes a Fibreflex both lightweight and strong. The tension and compression of the fibreglass outer layers working upon the solid hard-rock maple core provide maximum flex and return. No matter how often you flex your Gordon and Smith board, it will still resume its original shape. Always. This non-fatigueing quality is called “100% reflex memory.” We invented it. Only Fibreflex has it. Reflex memory pro vides a sure set when turning and intensifies thrust out of the turn. It allows power pumping for acceleration and speed control.

The flex and torque of a Fibreflex give the board a high degree of versatility in conforming to varying terrain and surface conditions. On concrete or asphalt, downhill, flatland, or in pools, for tricks or slalom, Fibre flex is best. Also, there are four distinctive models of Gordon and Smith boards to choose from.

Why is Fibreflex one of the top selling skateboards in the world? Because it’s great. Ask for Gordon and Smith boards from your local dealer.
