Tan Punks On Boards
Corky Carroll was the music editor for Skateboarder magazine, and despite his at best lukewarm attitude towards punk, this advert seems to show some influence from the Surf Punks. However, none of the personnel in this recording crossover according to wikipedia and Discocgs, although you can’ the sure about “Max Buddha.” If you’re curious, you can take a listen to Tan Punks on Boards via Bandcamp. Looks like he had a record label change from his previous single, A Surfer for President.
TAN PUNKS ON BOARDS
The new single by CORKY CARROLL and the Coolwater Casuals.
Hear for the first time the truth about life in the surf ghetto. Hear young girls being rudely accosted in the back of vans. Hear blatant localism.
Hear the Corkettes deservedly describe Corky as
“super cool and groovy.”
