So many interesting things about this ad for the Frog House. First of all, check out that impressive stack of almost 100 skateboards. On top of that (literally) there’s a kid who seems like he’s mere seconds away from a colossal disaster, not to mentioned damaged product. Then there’s the shirtless character behind the counter… And where did Small Faces skateboards come from? I doubt Rod Stewart’s people were OK with that, assuming they had even been aware of it. If so, maybe it’s time to start a company called Rolling Stone Skateboards. Maybe it’s 40 years too late, actually. Yeah, I know Rod Stewart was in the Faces, but the UK release of the first Faces album was actually credited to the Small Faces, and I don’t have any pictures of anyone else but Rod Stewart wearing Kickers. Do ya think I’m Skate-y? I’m not even done yet! What’s with the Frog House trash talking the “Huntington Beach surf ghetto?” Amazingly, the Frog House is still doing business in Newport.
