This zine is equal parts skate sine, art project and creative writing. Great photography, no photo credits. Maybe Mark took them. Maybe I ought ask him. This issue has the unique distinction of being stapled at the top of the pages, but the orientation changes from portrait to landscape willy-nilly. It sure made scanning and ordering these a pain, thanks a lot Mark. You can get a compendium of Bodyslam reprints perfect-bound here or view Marks very nice scans of the original galleys here.
Highlights: All of it, plus a reworking of Franz Kafka’s Metamorphosis, and rants against Transworld and Thrasher.
Skaters: Litle Big Man, James Ayer, Mark Conahan, Twista, Burly Bark-ari, Dave Lemieux, Grinner, Jeff T., Mike Holden, Metal, Ryan, Joe, Fred
Spots: Dougie’s Empitre in Chelmsford Mass, Canton, may other unnamed but you’d recognize if you were Boston local, Bugland, Newton ramp, Braintree
Honorable Mentions: Carolyn Conahan, Sean Mclean, Contort Crew, Jay Williamson,
