Restless Years is pale ale from Evanston Illinois’ Temperance brewery. Aside from skateboards on a beer can, they have bragging rights as Evanston’s first and oldest brewery, dating “way back” to 2013.

Soloshot is a great piece of technology for those who can make use of it. It’s a camera mount that will track a radio tag for up to 2000 meters. Basically you wear it and your camera mount will pan and swivel to follow you. You can get one that is just a base that you add your own camera to, or they sell one integrated that also allows for automatic zooming. You can program camera moves into it. This sounds like a paid product placement, but it isn’t. Cool technology for sure, but not so useful for skate footage. If it works well and you need this kind of thing, excellent. As far as using it for skateboarding? I suppose if your friends are tired of shooting you… but as you know, good skate footage usually requires more intimate angles. That might be why the skateboarding part of the promo video only lasts about a second. I still want this, but have no idea what I would use it for.

Instead of my usual Random Florida Spot Check, this year I’m bringing you Random Crap Skateboard. These were spotted at a store called 5 Below, which is like an upscale Dollar Store if that’s even possible. Surprisingly, the wheels on these things actually roll.

In this Joe Cool compendium we’re talking licensed Snoopy characters appearing on skateboard graphics, not pictures or figures of Snoopy riding a skateboard. All but one appearance of Snoopy as a skateboard graphic have been on Nash skateboards. This excludes Adam McNatt’s clearly unlicensed “Charlie Manson and the Peanuts Gang” deck for 101. Multiple Joe Cool color ways and a rarity of sorts after the jump.

Lego Friends sets are supposed to appeal to girls. This is set number 41099, known as Heartlake Skate Park. Like all Lego Friends kits, this one has lots of pinks and purples in the packaging. The mini figures are more detailed and lifelike. I suppose Lego doesn’t think girls have a good imagination. “Mia” comes with roller skates, a skateboard, and thankfully, no inline skates. Check out that street obstacle! looks like they chose not to go with a skater owned design/build firm.

I’ve seen this Bernie Sanders graphic all over Facebook, but because it’s the Interwebs® nobody actually provides a link or a credit. I’m not sure who originally made it, but it looks like you can get it from here. There’s no mention of Bernie getting a cut of the oddly priced ($5.08) stickers. Maybe that’s what the extra 8 cents is for.

I thought was battery operated toy when I first saw it, but it’s the tiniest of tiny paralyzed bunnies using a toy skateboard as a wheelchair. Don’t get too attached, it comes from a meat farm. But hey, at least it’s free range.

They mayor of Philadelphia lifted the ban on skateboarding in Love Park for a handful of days in advance of the whole thing being torn down for a complete overhaul. So while the gesture was definitely appreciated by the locals and many people who travelled hours to get a session in, let’s not kid ourselves. If it wasn’t being demolished, the skateboarders wouldn’t have gotten any concessions. Red Bull produced a video, and I can’t for the life of me figure out why it’s only 2 minutes long. This really pushes the old adage that something is better than nothing. Is almost nothing better than nothing?

Ahh… 2009. Much unlike the Tony Hawk Ride video game franchise, I’m still here, just busy. Fortunately for Tony, the Ride network has faired better.
