By golly, Lincoln City builds a holy grail of skateboarding!
The Oregonian had a story about the Lincoln City skatepark today. In case you haven’t been paying attention, Lincoln City is up to phase V with the new skate track. Not a bad story although they seemed to be confused about a few things like calling the pool replica is one of the park’s easiest features when I think they meant the new reservoir bowl. Co-stanza
This actually came in as a comment, but it was giving off a viral marketing vibe, like it was a plant. Regardless, this is the kind of stuff I put up on here anyway, so I don’t care. Marketers, there’s no need for subterfuge in a case like this. It’s a pretty cool commercial, that will seem less so once you see the rollerblading version they made for the same campaign. Prepubescent pop star ollies higher than me

Sleestak trademark infringement
Advertising for the Ford Fiesta disguised as street art. I wonder how little kids growing up are going to navigate through the land mines of Madison Avenue as they grow up. In a way I imagine it will roll right off their backs. Maybe it will make them more suspicious of everything. – Thanks to Doug for the photo.
The old standby
Here’s a pretty cool ad from Converse. It looks much better larger, on Ads of the World. Never actually seen it in a magazine. This isn’t even an add for Converse Skateboarding. Anybody that skates has probably worn Chuck Taylors at one point or another.
Cuppa Stoke
I bought some Cuppa Stoke coffee online from the creator of the Skateboarder’s Journal. Friend of the site, (whether he knows it or not,) Dan Gesmer came up with the name! If you can get past it, the coffee is pretty good. My palate isn’t as refined as it once was, but good coffee is good coffee. I can vouch for the 5-0 Grind blend.

Easter bunnies on skateboards. It may look cheap, but this little guy costs $20 from Enjou Chocolat. More chocolate Easter bunnies after the jump. Don’t forget to rewind last year’s disturbing pre-restraining order footage of Peter Cottontail doing some shredding with the kids.
Get’cha head together
I caught this in passing the other day. I thought it was going to be lame, but it was actually fairly decent. It’s about as good as something like this could be from an unconnected third party like Disney. It’s part of a series on kids and sports… I think. I’ve never seen any of the other ones.
Yo-Be Annoyed by This
We’re now officially in the midst of an annoying trend in which toy commercials are promoting other activities besides skating at skateparks. There have been at least two or three, as well as a cheese commercial with RC cars. This one is for the Yo Be, something that looks like a cross between a frisbee and a yo-yo. Best part is, they shot all the action scenes in front of a green screen so there are lot’s of vertigo inducing physics scenarios where camera angles don’t match up.
