Hand printed, numbered and signed editions of 30 will be sold with all proceeds going to aid development of skateparks in South Africa. – Thanks to MC for the tip.
With a good glass of wine
Although it may look like outtakes from Macho Taildrop, Le Skate Moderne is a short clip about a two of skaters in rural France who live on a farm. There’s not a lot of actual information, instead it seems to concentrate cinematography. I can’t tell if the clothes are costumes or not, it seems a little like an affectation. Also, these guys seem to have a pretty good sized crew for being out in the middle of the country. All in all though, it’s very well made. – Thanks to Bevilacqua for the tip.

Surfboard hanger for your skateboard
This is actually a fake surfboard constructed out of uses skateboard pieces, designed to hold an actual skateboard when it’s mounted to the wall. I’ve seen a handful of skateboard hangers, a couple of them made from old skateboards, but this is the best one yet. Made in Portland by TurnCo aka Skip Marcotte. You an get this one and other upcycled skateboard products from his Etsy shop, or from selected skate shops in Portland. I had a parent of a kid who is in school with my boy call me up and ask where he could get some used skateboards for his son’s art project. I had to tell him that he’d likely be hard pressed to find some these days.
Over-scaled skateable architecture

More marginally skateable art
Well, it looks like someone should be skating on it, or is that just wishful thinking? Ollie to full loop anyone? Picnic, by Michael Beitz. is installed at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art in Madison, WI. Bigger, better pics at Colossal.
3D Hoverboards

Skull, skates

She’s mighty mighty…
…just lettin’ it all hang out. She’s a brick, house. Installation by Alex Chinneck. Too bad it’s fenced in. Maybe someone will get a session in before it get’s torn down in about a year. [Sources: This is colossal, Design Boom] – Thanks to Boy for the tip.
