Bennet Colorado DIY project

Bennet Co DIY bowl

We haven’t reported on the Bennet Colorado DIY project since a benefit from last year. Looks like they got a bowl poured with some help from Team Pain.

We got a ton of help this past Friday. The pool was poured in approximately 10 hours. It came out really well (thanks again to guys from Team Pain). Next steps are tile and pool coping. A new wall tying the pool to the slab has already been framed out, so I’ll keep you all updated. Many thanks to all of the volunteers!

  1. Colorado, it’s the new Oregon! That bowl looks great. Looks like a summer 2009 destination.

  2. The bathtub!

  3. Wow, thanks Kilwag for posting this. Just for informational purposes, this is the second pool we dug in Bennett. The first one was destroyed by vandals/redneck assholes. I really have so much respect for the skaters involved with this project. Their tenacity saw us through some pretty crappy times. The new pool skates well and we’re going to get some coping and tiles up soon. All the kids are looking out for the park, so we hope the pool will be there for everyone to ride.

Here are a few pics from the first test runs…

  4. I keep saying that if Colorado is to be the new oregon then we need better skate websites. 😉 Teach us your ways!

forget websites, the best way to not miss a good session is to skate a lot, the computer will only tell you what you missed
