One of the symptoms of the disease of skateboarding is that the ones afflicted the worst are incapable of waiting their turn. If the old dudes can’t get runs, they need to go in the pro shop and play pinball ’til the youngsters are tired.
I was at a session at the Venice skate park recently that was pretty heated. Mostly old guys 40 and over with a handful of 15 and under kids that were killing it, a total snake session. Alva had to explain to the kids that they needed to respect their elders and beat it! I think there needs to be some respect for the older guys so they can get runs in, but a heavy session gets me amped up.
