The small stuff can kick your ass! My worst injuries are almost always in the small stuff. No time to work it out after a bail before you hit the bottom.

  2. Skateboarding has uprooted itself and flown away from its parent. If you aren’t foot juggling, you’re fake surfing. You might be a monkey shrieking at space apes…

  3. I always think of that speared guy in Apocalypse Now if I slam on something small.

  4. most household injuries occur in the bathtub

Been reading books about dinosaurs with my kids lately and their evolution is just like modern skating’s. They started off in water (bowls); evolved in response to environmental pressures, and were forced onto the land where they lived for a long time. Then some actually went back to the water more fully evolved taking their evolutionary traits from land (big teeth), making them even more radical and scary. Some would even venture back onto land and drag their land bound prey back into the bowl where they would eat them. This puts skating in its Mesozoic Era, which is also the same time that animals began to fly and ride over mousehole doors.

  7. Skaters are not frustrated surfers; surfers are frustrated surfers. Skating’s there for us.
