Skate and Annoy: Daily

looks like he's winding up for some spins.

but not as ill-defined as the path to a career in journalism.

A Google alert led to this Dew Tour related piece at Oregon Live but what really interested me was seeing my pal Jack Grover as the featured future action sports hopeful. Hey, wait a minute, Grover is getting paid? I beat him at the Trifecta. I need to find a new agent.

  • They were lucky to skate with Jack Grover. If you want to “watch” then get a time machine and attend a Yes concert.

  • shit talker

that ‘demo’ was part of a relaxed skate road trip. there were no permits to shutdown the park to the public. and there shouldn’t have been. those dudes just wanted to skate. or sit in the grass and drink beer.

  • Owe my Balls!

  • It would be silly of us to think that two vans full of the anti-hero and girl skateboard teams couldn’t -if they wanted to- get a heated session (or demo) going. Kids or no kids. The ones that actually pulled there sleds out of the van killed it and demanded your attention with skateboarding… Body? Never heard of him before….but I won’t forget him either.

At the end of the day it was skateboarding….even when its bad….its still good.

  • The Litterer

Good comeback. Skater steve …. (sarcasm) sure barge a demo and don’t teach your kid skatepark ettiquette as long as Koston says he rips afterwards. Stupid little league dads.

  • Skater Steve

icalloutkooks should stick to the side lines and spectate skateparks are for skateparking. Go practice your kick flips on the flat and litter and smoke. Stay out of the skate area. I heard Koston say that little kid rip’s.

  • Demos belong over at Zumiez.

  • I call out kooks is not old enough to know how these things work. If anyone riding would of had a problem they would have said something.

  • skaterhusseindave

Dunno where Dave lives, probably Cali

  • icalloutkooks

Is that the kid who was rolling around Glenhaven on Sunday while the Anti-Hero/Girl teams were trying to skate? If so that kid was blowing it. His parents need to step up their game enforcing skatepark/demo etiquette. He was fucking blowing it. No skating during big boy time, and definitely no crying.

  • Right on Jack!

  • Does Dave Metty live in portland.

  • Go Jack! Can I have your autograph? Wait, can I have your board!?

  • ….this is a rad photo of Jack- he was just doing front-side rocks on what we called the “conduit hump” in the background…I told the Oregonian Steve-sie was pro…they asked, I know he collected a check at least once so I told them what they wanted to hear…

  • I like Grover, but ‘pro skater?’

You do have a job, right Steve?

  • A

I can’t believe they published an out of focus photograph. I mean, I do it all the time, but I know how to fake it with the “Smart Sharpenn” filter.

  • skaterhusseindave

Waitaminute! Is Dave Metty married, and did his wife shoot that? I think I smell a rat…or just the incestuous nature of our little world.

  • ahem…

  • Work it! Pro skateboarder… That’s pretty good. Congrats Steve! Jack was on local tv that same night too.

  • Can he do the required ‘Double Pits to Chesty’? and what energy drink team will he endorse?

  • He is available for demos. Works for bushings.
