It looks like a repurposed bowling shoe! Then there is the claim of it being The first shoe designed exclusively for the sport, which is false. There was a shoe from the 60’s if you can believe it, it’s not in the gallery yet. There’s a handful of skateboard shoes that appear in 1977-79 too.
